Under the mammoth redwood is a beautiful studio. It is its very own secluded spot on the estate under this monumental tree that reaches higher than the castle with its 7 floors. If you stay in the Sequoia atelier, the impressive tree is always present. The abode is as it were absorbed by it; the roots go under it, the branches over it. It is an intimate residence flanked by 2 terraces. The studio has a cozy wooden kitchen with double sink, a two-burner stove, a refrigerator with freezer and an oven. There is a pellet stove for heating. Above the kitchenette is a bed 160 wide. Outside under the vault of the castle is a sofa bed for 2 people. The bathroom with toilet, shower and sink is 12 steps away in a vault of the castle. There is no internet. Crib and high chair on request.
Nature and surroundings
The nature house is located on Cortils estate, large 76 acres including a park with natural pond, tennis court and 15 acres of private forest. There are plenty of hiking opportunities. On the estate are a sheep farm, picking garden with ecologically grown flowers and duck farm. Day trips: Liège, Maastricht, Aachen and the Ardennes.
