A detached nature house on the owners' property. Their house is next door. It is a spacious cottage of about 90 m2 with large bedroom and large full kitchen. A fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave oven are available. Cooking can be done on a four burner gas stove. In the living room and the kitchen there is a door to the garden/terrace where you can see the cows in the meadow opposite. The car can be parked on private property. In the spacious living room with flat TV and satellite reception with Dutch, German and English channels. Internet is available via WIFI. If the chickens cooperate, fresh eggs are available. The garden of this nature house borders the river La Buante. You can hear the babbling of the water at 10 meters from your terrace. The private garden is enclosed except on the side of the little river. The nights here are really dark so that at the new moon you literally cannot see your hand in front of your eyes.
Nature and surroundings
Nature house located in the quiet and hilly northern France less than three hours drive from Maastricht. Rural environment with cows, many meadows and arable farming. The forests of the Argonne are 5 minutes away by car. There is currently a lot of forestry. Nearby are memorial sites of the first WW. In Varennes-en-Argonne at 2 km from the cottage is a supermarket, a boulanger with delicious baguette, an ATM, pharmacy, hotel, camping and there are three restaurants. In the owners' garden, chickens, peacocks, ducks and mini sheep run loose on the property. There are also two sweet border collies owned by the owners. At half an hour's drive you are in the city of Verdun with its boulevard along the Meuse with cafes and restaurants. In Verdun and its surroundings there are many reminders of WWI. All the larger stores can be found here. After about 1.30 hours drive you will arrive in Reims with the beautiful cathedral Notre Dame and the old town with stores and champagne houses.
