Nature, peace & environment:The location of the apartment is perfect - even if, like us, you don't have a car. The bus from Arnhem Central stops right outside the door. The house itself is one big trip down memory lane.... almost every item recalls a long-forgotten childhood :) Spinning records, playing Mastermind or even fondue, it's all possible.The best part is of course the nature. You walk from the house directly into the woods and onto the moors and by bike the possibilities are endless. A visit to museum Kröller-Müller should not be missed. Waking up in the morning with a view of the squirrel and pied woodpeckers in the hazel is a feast. The only drawback, for me as a "cool sleeper", was that the window in the bedroom could not be opened. The ventilation in the cottage is fine, but if you are used to sleeping with the window open all year, the nights are very warm. Mosquito nuisance is minimal - every disadvantage has its advantage. Finally, the host is extremely friendly and relaxed!

Het mooiste is natuurlijk de natuur. Je wandelt vanaf het huis direct het bos in en de hei op en met de fiets zijn de mogelijkheden eindeloos. Een bezoek aan museum Kröller-Müller mag eigenlijk niet ontbreken. 's Morgens wakker worden met zicht op de eekhoorn en bonte spechten in de hazelaar is een feest.
Het enige nadeel, voor mij als "koele slaper", was dat het raam in de slaapkamer niet open kon. De ventilatie in het huisje is prima, maar als je gewend bent het hele jaar met open raam te slapen, zijn de nachten erg warm. Overlast van muggen is dan weer minimaal - elk nadeel heb z'n voordeel.
