Next to our farm is the former small cattle shed which has been converted into a spacious and characteristic guesthouse, suitable for 6 people. Guest Stable in Wyns offers plenty of possibilities for a weekend in a nice cottage. With a ground surface of 70 m2 and 40 m2 attic floor area, the Stable is a nice detached and spacious vacation home, with lots of privacy compared to the other apartments in the farm. With its many windows, the Stable is very bright and has lots of natural wood, open connections, no traditional bedrooms, and is a nice space to stay in. A fully equipped kitchen is available in the nature house, as well as a shower/toilet room. An outdoor terrace allows you to enjoy the sun and the surroundings. Upstairs, the Stable has a balcony. Nature and surroundings
Our farmhouse is located 50 meters from the Dokkumer Ee and lies between the village of Wyns and Bartlehiem, of course known for the little bridge and the Elfstedentocht, in an area where it is still dark at night and peace is still normal. In Wyns itself there is an eatery (De Winze) opposite the historic church, with a terrace by the water. For children there is a playground in the village. A ferry makes it possible in summer to explore the western side of the Dokkumer Ee (walking or cycling). Many bicycle routes in the area. Bicycles can be rented at bicycle store Joustra in Aldtsjerk. On request he will pick up and bring your bikes to/from Gastopstal. Wadden Sea and Lauwersmeer area are easily accessible from Wyns. A day trip to Ameland - only 45 minutes by boat - is also a fun experience. Of course, nearby are also Dokkum and Leeuwarden worth seeing, with the necessary museums and nice stores and eateries. For children Aqua Zoo in Leeuwarden is very nice.

Michiel October 19, 2020 General rating:Huis is netjes ingericht, ruime woonkamer en goed bruikbare keuken. De slaapkamers op de overloop zijn erg open. Deze kamers hebben geen plafond, de verticale afscheiding bestaat uit gordijnen. Het hele huis is daardoor eigenlijk 1 grote ruimte, wat voor een gezin met kinderen niet altijd handig is. Ook de slaapkamer beneden heeft geen deur maar alleen gordijnen.
Nature, peace & environment:Huis vrijstaand naast (niet meer actieve) boerderij, met uitzicht over de Dokkumer Ee en daarachter gelegen weilanden. Als de Luchtmacht vliegt vanaf Leeuwarden kun je dat horen, net als de haan uit de buurt.

Danny September 11, 2020 General rating:Eenvoudig maar juist leuk en artistiek ingericht. Voor een grote groep kan de badkamer/toilet misschien wat krap zijn. De keuken, woonkamer en eetgedeelte zijn wel lekker ruim. En niet te vergeten ook een leuke gastvrouw. Dankjewel voor het heerlijke verbijf!
Nature, peace & environment:Vrij uitzicht en rustig achter op het erf. Iedere dag een mooie zonsondergang gehad, uitkijkende over de Dokkumer Ee.
