An intimate guest-house, with great care love and attention rebuilt and furnished for a comfortable stay. Marked around by the historic trees of the national monument "Vredewoud", in a yard of 10,000M2 within which the guest-house is located. The guest-house is also equipped with a wood stove, a fully equipped kitchen with oven and dishwasher with the basic amenities of spices/coffee and tea. The nature house has a comfortable double bed with refined linen. The bathroom has a shower with sink including towels. Smart T.V. and a Wifi connection. On the mezzanine there are additional 2 - 1 person beds. Terrace furniture, barbecue and a lovely hammock for the garden ! The open space is suitable for 2 adults. Your private wood-fired hot tub for 2 evenings can be rented for € 150.00 - (please reserve in comments in your booking form).
Nature and surroundings
Our guesthouse is located in the historic center of Oldeberkoop. Oldeberkoop is an old village first mentioned in 1228, when Frisian warriors gathered in "Brokope" to march into Drenthe. This historic village was formed 900 years ago on the sandy ridges between the small rivers Linde and Tjonger. The name Oldeberkoop probably originated from two other words. Namely "broek," meaning "piece of grassland," and "ope," derived from water. Both sides of the Linde and the Tjonger used to have lands that were flooded for much of the year. Thanks to these two small rivers, Oldeberkoop is still located in a beautiful environment, which is excellent for recreation in various forms. From this location you can take endless walks in the nearby nature reserves, cycle, rent a canoe or just relax in these beautiful surroundings.
