There is ample parking at the nature house for both a car and bicycles. Two charging stations for electric cars have been installed in the village parking lot.

What makes this vacation home special is that it serves as the village hall of the small Frisian mound village of Iens (NL: Edens). This village, which has about 40 residents, is located within the triangle formed by the cities of Leeuwarden, Sneek, and Bolsward. It is picturesquely situated on a dead-end road. The village hall offers a stunning view and is situated along a canoe route, a beautiful bike path along the Bolswardervaart, It Fryske Ferse Paad (a poetry trail through the countryside), and the Elfstedenfiets route (230 km long). The church in Iens is also definitely worth a visit, and the village has a beautiful jeu de boules court that guests are welcome to use. Furthermore, the vacation home’s location makes it an ideal base for visiting Leeuwarden—the 2018 European Capital of Culture—and the 11 Frisian fountains.
