Our log cabin is located in Heerde. A quiet town on the edge of the Veluwe with lots of natural beauty and the Heerderstrand. The cabin is simply furnished but with good beds and suitable for 3 people. The interior consists of a 3 pers. bunk bed 1 chair, 1 sofa, a table with 3 chairs and a kitchenette where there is: crockery, pots and pans, refrigerator, Senseo coffee machine, kettle, 1 burner hob, grill / toaster, microwave and an electric. BBQ. The bathroom, which consists of a shower, toilet and a sink, is not in the log cabin but a few steps next to it. The cabin is on private land and is completely fenced. For an errand in the village there are 2 ordinary bikes available these are under a roof where there is also a charging point for electric bicycles. And 1 large dog or 2 small dogs are more than welcome. There is also room for a small tent for up to 2 people, the cost is € 10.00 per night to settle arrival.
Nature and surroundings
The walkers among us can indulge in the many wooden shoe paths which can be found across a large part of the Veluwe. For the cyclists among us, the Veluwe is a paradise, not only the many bicycle routes is a must but also the Hanseatic cities of Deventer, Zwolle and Kampen are worth a visit. Zwolle with its Peperbus, the Museum de Fundatie and the historic center. The historic town of Hattem where you can visit the Anton Piek museum and the bakery museum. And what about Epe, Nunspeet, Vierhouten and Elburg also those are on the bike easy to reach. The Hoogwatergeul also called "the Veluwe Delta Works" is also worth a visit. Walking and or cycling bird watching and also deer encounter who does not. For the less athletic fellow man you can make nice trips from our cabin, think of a whisper boat ride in Giethoorn, a day at the zoo in Arnhem, the Apenheul and the Loo Palace in Apeldoorn.
