A space for relaxation and enjoyment has been created in the former farmhouse. The spacious room (25 m2) is comfortably and tastefully furnished and offers plenty of privacy. It features a private entrance with a toilet and a luxurious bathroom. By popular request, a small kitchenette has recently been added, allowing guests to come and go as they please. In the morning, we’ll prepare a luxurious breakfast upon request, which you can enjoy in your room or in the garden. Many arrangements can be made upon request. The property is easily accessible by public transportation (the bus stops right outside the door). Dogs are also welcome (for a daily fee).

Nature and surroundings

The farm is situated on a 1.5-hectare property, landscaped as a garden with various themes. These include an orchard, a pine grove, a vegetable garden, and an herb garden. The garden is open to the public and also serves as a starting point for various (forest) walks. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling and hiking. The national parks Drents-Friese Wold, Dwingelderveld, Weerribben-de Wieden, and Holtingerveld are all easily accessible from this nature house. The Drenthe dolmens are also nearby, as are the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Colonies of Benevolence.” There are virtually no limits to the possibilities for hiking and biking—a paradise for lovers of nature, tranquility, and cultural history.

Fully equipped, with a lovely bathroom and separate toilet, a comfortable bed with a good mattress, a well-equipped kitchenette with quality appliances and beautiful tableware, and a tastefully decorated, spacious living room and bedroom. The host has what many B&B owners lack: good taste and an eye for quality.

    Nature, peace & environment: 5 /5

A wonderfully peaceful place to stay with many trailheads nearby where you can start bike rides and hikes.
