Nature house in Voorthuizen

It was great.

Het was geweldig.

Beautiful location. Wonderfully peaceful. Surrounded by nature.
The cottage was lovely and well-equipped.

Mooie ligging. Heerlijk rustig. Midden in de natuur.
Huisje was er mooi, goed uitgerust.

The cottage was surprisingly well-equipped.

Huisje was verrassend compleet.

A surprisingly well-equipped cottage right in the middle of the woods, with a fully equipped kitchen and a perfect bathroom. Soft mattresses—I liked them, but my husband didn’t. There was even a bike available.

When the owners are there, they’re very warm and welcoming.

You won’t be bothered by your neighbors at all because the cottages are far enough apart.

Dogs can run around freely in the park. Our cottage had a temporary fence, but it didn’t always hold up against our energetic puppy.
In the adjacent forest, you’re not officially allowed to let dogs off-leash, but you’ll only encounter dogs running free there.

For those sensitive to noise: keep in mind that there’s a lot of forest wildlife in this quiet area. Next time, I’ll bring earplugs so I can sleep better.
But I’ll also bring binoculars so I can get a better look at all the birds.

A fan would have been welcome during this heat wave.

We’ll be back, that’s for sure.

Verrassend volledig huisje midden in het bos, volledig ingerichte keuken, perfecte badkamer. Zachte matrassen, ik vond ze goed, mijn man minder. Er was zelfs een fiets aanwezig.

Als de eigenaars aanwezig zijn, zijn ze heel hartelijk en open.

Je hebt absoluut geen last van je buren omdat de huisjes ver genoeg van elkaar liggen.

De honden kunnen heerlijk rond lopen op het park. In ons huisje was er een tijdelijke omheining, alleen was die niet altijd bestand tegen onze dolle pup.
In het bos er naast mag je officieel niet met de honden los, maar je komt er enkel losse honden tegen.

Voor geluidsgevoelige personen: hou er rekening mee dat er in een stiltegebied heel veel bosleven is. Volgende keer neem ik oordopjes mee om beter te kunnen slapen.
Maar ook een verrekijker om alle vogels beter te kunnen bekijken.

Een ventilator was met deze hittegolf welkom geweest.

Wij komen terug, zeker weten.

Fine basic house with all the trimmings. Good beds, great shower. When we arrived, the house had not yet been cleaned. That was not so nice to enter, but the owner Ellen, has immediately solved by itself to clean with an employee and an hour later, t house was completely clean and I have received compensation. The big enjoyment come start. That we did, with a big G. What a fantastic place, fantastic owner and I'll be back very soon! Small point of attention is the maintenance in the shower. There was a bit of mold there and the rubber strip of the shower needs replacement.

Prima basic huis met alles erop en eraan. Goede bedden, heerlijke douche. Voldoende keukenspullen.
Toen we aankwamen, bleek het huisje nog niet schoongemaakt. Dat was even niet zo fijn binnenkomen, maar de eigenaresse Ellen, heeft dat direct opgelost door zelf te gaan poetsen met nog een medewerker en een uur later, was t huisje helemaal schoon en heb ik compensatie ontvangen.
Het grote genieten kom beginnen.

Dat hebben we gedaan, met een grote G. Wat een fantastische plek, fantastische eigenaresse en ik kom heel snel weer terug!

Klein aandachtspunt is het onderhoud in de douche. Daar zat een beetje schimmel en de rubberstrip van de douche is aan vervanging toe.

Beautifully set up bungalows, only nature on 1 side of the cottage, there are no over neighbors. Wonderful place for dog lovers, who are allowed to roam freely on the property, but just outside the park, you are already directly in the off-leash area, where you can walk around endlessly. In the garden chair or hammock you could enjoy the birds and squirrels.

Prachtig opgezette bungalows, alleen natuur aan 1 kant van het huisje, er zijn geen overburen. Prachtige plek voor hondenliefhebbers, die op het terrein vrij mogen rondlopen, maar net buiten het park, ben je al direct in het losloopgebied, waar je eindeloos rond kunt lopen.
In de tuinstoel of hangmat kon je heerlijk genieten van de vogels en eekhoorntjes.
