Nature and surroundings
Our farm stands on the dike. From the dike you look at the river Meuse. At 2 to 3 minutes walk, you splash in the dead branch of the river for a refreshing dip. Alphen is a small village with secretly more to offer than imagined. We have several restaurants and eateries. Enjoying a drink at the harbor with beautiful views or eating homemade cake in the tea garden are things we often enjoy. The nearest supermarket (Jumbo) is 4 km away. We have a bicycle with shopping bags that you can borrow for free to do your shopping. Along the dike there is a lot of recreation in the form of campsites, harbors and things to do on the water. There are many bicycle routes here that take you through the ribbon villages along the rivers. We live between the 2 major rivers in the Land of Maas and Waal. Within the circle between Oss, Den Bosch, Nijmegen and Tiel. If you come by public transport, we can pick you up at bus station Nieuwstraat in Dreumel.

Nature, peace & environment:Super nice and beautiful location with very nice hosts. So the cottage is a caravan and it is completely tip-top furnished, with a very personal atmosphere. Really cozy. The canopy on the front and side, along with the bench and the table with 2 chairs, makes it very quick to sit outside comfortably. The shower and toilet are in the main building. Even there it is neat and well cared for, with again very personal touches. The place is nice and green and a bit rough even in spring, but in summer it must really be a green opulence. What I liked is that the river Waal is really within walking distance and there are all the water birds flying over regularly. Really highly recommended to unwind.

De overkapping aan de voor- en zijkant, samen met het bankje en de tafel met 2 stoelen, maakt dat je heel snel comfortabel buiten kunt zitten. De douche en toilet zitten in het hoofdgebouw. Ook daar is het netjes en goed verzorgd, met weer heel persoonlijke touch.
De plek is zelfs in het voorjaar al lekker groen en beetje ruig, maar in de zomer moet het echt een groene weelde zijn. Wat ik leuk vond is dat de rivier de Waal echt op loopafstand is en er geregeld allemaal watervogels overvliegen.
