Nature house in PENSOL

This luxury holiday cottage sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms and has a large kitchen and family living area. The nature house has a spacious shower-room and additional downstairs toilet complete the picture to ensure your party can live in comfort. This gite is in the centre of a terrace in a converted barn. It has a private seating area with patio furniture and BBQ. The shared pool is right nearby. The private garden opens out onto the 8 hectares of gardens and grounds available for guests to enjoy. Opposite the gite building, across the pretty River Bandiat, is the main mill building where the owners live. There are numerous seats and sun loungers dotted around the garden and hammocks on the island. The gardens are planted with flowers, fruit trees and vegetables and are a haven for butterflies. Wifi is available throughout the site.

We are lucky enough to have 20 acres (nearly 8 Hectares) of land, bisected by the clear River Bandiat. 2 Ha is sweet chestnut coppice woodland. The rest is meadows and orchards. Where the fields run down to the river the grassland becomes marshy with rushes and fen plants. Cuckoo flower and king cups flower in abundance here in the spring. No wonder the amphibian life is so rich, with pool frogs, edible frogs, marbled and great-crested newts all present. Fire salamanders delight us on damp warm evenings in autumn. We have recorded 68 species of butterflies in our garden and grounds alone - more than in the whole of the UK! Orchids flourish throughout the summer. Our donkeys graze the fields in the high summer Red squirrels play in the trees around the Mill House and golden orioles sing in the woods behind the gites. Our 2 caves are home to 7 species of bats.
