Nature house in Etalle

This vacation rental is situated in a very quiet location among the fields and not far from the woods.
The cottage has everything you need: a living area, a kitchen, a separate bedroom for the kids, and a bathroom.
The garden is shared, but as a guest, you have your own private area, and your privacy is fully respected. And the (clean!) swimming pond is a huge bonus!
Sabrina and Tom are very friendly hosts. They’re always ready to help and offer tips on what to do in the area.

Dit verblijf is heel rustig gelegen tussen de velden en niet ver van bossen.
De gite heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, zitruimte, keuken, aparte slaapkamer voor de kinderen en een badkamer.
De tuin is gedeeld, maar je hebt als gast je eigen gedeelte, waarbij ook je privacy heel erg wordt gerespecteerd. En de (propere!) zwemvijver is een hele grote meerwaarde!
Sabrina en Tom zijn heel een erg vriendelijke gastvrouw en -heer. Altijd klaar om te helpen en tips te geven van wat er in de omgeving te doen is.

It’s a quiet place, which is wonderful. The apartment is upstairs, so if you want to eat or sit outside, you’ll always have to carry your food and drinks down the stairs.
The owners have a dog that’s quiet and doesn’t get in the way. If this is a problem, you can let them know and they’ll bring him inside.
The cottage is clean. The beds were made upon arrival, which was nice. There was no fan in the cottage and no window screens. There were a lot of mosquitoes at night, which meant we couldn’t open the windows and had to keep everything closed. As a result, it was really hot, leading to a poor night’s sleep.
The shower has a tub where you can enjoy a nice soak, but standing to shower is difficult because of the sloped roof—the whole shower area gets soaked. Something to keep in mind. And otherwise, it’s in great and clean condition.
The washing machine is great. The hosts were helpful in suggesting outings you could go on. They also had some games available.
The swimming pond is a great way to cool off!

Het is een rustige plek wat heerlijk is. Het appartementje ligt boven. Om buiten te eten of te zitten moet je dus wel altijd even de trap af met je eten en drinken.
De verhuurders hebben een hond die rustig aanwezig is. Mocht dit een probleem zijn, dan kun je dit aangeven en doen ze hem naar binnen.
In het huisje is het netjes. De bedden waren opgemaakt bij aankomst, dat was fijn. Er was in het huisje geen ventilator aanwezig en geen horren. Veel muggen s nachts, dat maakte dat we 's nachts niet konden luchten en alles dicht moesten houden. Daardoor was het echt heel warm, met slechte nachtrust tot gevolg.
In de douche is een bad waar je lekker in kunt badderen maar staand douchen lukt slecht vanwege het schuine dak, dan is heel de douche kletsnat. Iets om rekening mee te houden. Verder in prima en nette staat.
Wasmachine is fijn. De verhuurders dachten mee met uitjes die je zou kunnen doen. Ook hadden ze evt spelletje beschikbaar.
De zwemvijver is heel fijn voor verkoeling!

It’s a quiet area, just outside/on the edge of the village. So it’s a bit secluded, on a sort of dead-end road.
You can go biking and hiking right from the cottage.
The swimming pond is a great place to cool off. There’s no ladder to get out of the water, so you have to pull yourself up from the edge. The kids swam a lot in this pond, which was really nice in the heat.

Het is een rustige omgeving, net buiten/aan de rand van het dorpje. Het ligt dus wat afgelegen aan een soort doodlopende weg.
Je kan vanuit het huisje fietsen en wandelen.
De zwemvijver is heel fijn om even af te koelen. Er is geen trapje aanwezig om eruit te gaan, dus je moet jezelf ophijsen aan de kant. De kinderen hebben veel gezwommen in deze vijver, dat was met de hitte erg fijn.
