Bird watching Cycling Hiking

A charming four-person nature house in a small, 10-hectare forest park, right in the heart of the Veluwe. The park has only a few detached houses and offers plenty of peace, privacy, and comfort. No restaurants or entertainment, but modern conveniences such as super-fast and stable internet and a comprehensive digital TV package—ideal for remote workers. The cottage features a cozy living room with a fully equipped kitchen and French doors opening onto a private terrace. There are two bedrooms with box-spring beds, bed linens, comforters, and spacious closets. The spacious bathroom, good insulation, and both central and underfloor heating ensure extra comfort. Everything is on one level, virtually barrier-free, and there is a lockable storage shed for bicycles.

Nature and surroundings

The forest park is located in the heart of the Garderen Forest District in the Veluwe, an area of vast forests, heathlands, and sand drifts. Here, you can enjoy endless walks, bike rides, or horseback rides along well-maintained trails. The park is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers. Within 20 km are cities such as Apeldoorn, Amersfoort, Ede, and Harderwijk, each with its own charm and amenities. Voorthuizen is just 4 km away, offering supermarkets, shops, and cozy restaurants and cafes. There are plenty of day trips to enjoy in the area: visit the Dolfinarium, Apenheul, Amersfoort Zoo, or the Garderen Climbing Forest. The Speulderbos, known for its “dancing trees,” is also nearby and highly recommended for a scenic forest walk.

The cottage itself is spacious and fully equipped. It’s been well thought out and maintained with care.
We received a warm welcome, and the hosts were always available to answer questions or offer tips when needed. We’d love to come back someday!

A wonderful place, thanks in part to the private space around the cottage and its location on the edge of the forest. Peace and quiet.
