    We hebben een fijne week verbleven in het "Koekenhuisje" zoals men het noemt. We huurden het bovenste deel (er is ook ook nog een benedenverdieping die desgewenst bij gehuurd kan worden). Binnen was alles prima in orde, met een goed voorziene keuken, aangename leefruimte, twee badkamers en drie slaapkamers. En zelfs te midden een hittegolf bleef de binnentemperatuur er ook vrij aangenaam!

    De ruime tuin - omringd door bomen en groen - is een absolute troef. Je vindt er altijd een mooi plekje in de zon of in de schaduw, naargelang je voorkeur. De glijbaan en schommels vielen ook in de smaak bij onze peuter. En alhoewel er een aantal aangrenzende huizen zijn, is het er erg rustig en met meer dan voldoende privacy.

    De gastvrouw Kitty is erg goed voorbereid en ze zorgde ervoor dat alles in orde was voor ons verblijf. Er is een uitgebreide documentatiemap aanwezig maar daarin allerhande praktische informatie over het huis, nabijgelegen winkels, restaurants, activiteiten, enzovoort. Handig!

    Tot slot is de ligging ook een pluspunt. Vlakbij het huisje lopen er diverse wandel- en fietsroutes (Vennbahn). Met de auto ben je ook heel snel de grens over, naar Luxemburg of naar Duitsland.

    Het huis is gelegen in de dorpskern van Oudler, een heel kleine en rustige deelgemeente van Burg Reuland in Duitstalig België.

    In de onmiddellijke omgeving zit je meteen in de bossen en de natuur - al wandelend of al fietsend. De ruime tuin is omringd door bomen en kijkt aan de achterzijde uit op een weide met bossen in de achtergrond.

    Heerlijke midweek gehad, erg fijn huis, erg schoon, alles is aanwezig. Betrokken en zorgzame ontvangst door Kitty.

    Mooie heuvels en bossen in de omgeving. Lekker gewandeld en hardgelopen in de omgeving. De wasberen die af en toe in de tuin komen om de gft bak te plunderen hebben we helaas niet gezien.
