This cozy half-timbered house with thatched roof in the district of Rotenburg is located in the Hinzel, an extensive forest with atmospheric moorland. It is part of a historic farmstead (completely renovated). The garden area reserved for you around the house is part of the farm ensemble. The "Backhaus" has 2 floors with wooden floors (66 square meters of living space). On the first floor you will find the Scandinavian-style living/dining room with wood-burning stove, kitchen & bathroom. A space-saving staircase (alternating steps & handrail) leads to the converted attic. Upstairs is the sleeping area, a sofa corner & desk. The sofa in the living room can be used as an additional bed for 1-2 people (90/180 cm wide). The only farm animals are 2 cats. In the surrounding forest live many animals, owls, game, wild boars. There may be scratching noises around the house at night, e.g. from a dormouse. Good WLAN (cell phone network unstable). Freshly made beds. Towels are provided.
Nature and surroundings
Surrounded by nature reserves, the Nature house is located in the medieval Heinschenwall rampart complex on the Geesten lowlands. The varied landscape between the Weser and Elbe rivers offers traditional village life, nature and culture. Whether alone, as a couple or with the family - the house, garden and surroundings invite you to enjoy activities, rest and relaxation. The landscape is ideal for hiking on the designated "Northern Paths" and for tours by bike. A natural swimming lake is only 11 km away. In about 45 minutes you can reach Bremerhaven, the Hanseatic city of Stade, the sandy beaches of Cuxhaven or the famous Worpswede. Bremen and Hamburg are only a little further away. The Heinschenwalde train station is 300 meters away. Approx. 50 m away and shielded by tall trees is a district road with little traffic, which is mainly used by the villagers and farmers. Through a gate you are immediately in the forest and at the Geeste stream, which flows towards the Weser.
