Our paradise is located freely on 2 acres of private forest in the Achterhoek. The house is from 1910 and in 2005 Piet Hein Eek rebuilt and decorated. Also when 't magnesium salt pool (8x4m) built. All furniture, doors, porch, beds, lamps, kitchen etc were designed and custom made together with PHE. There is 1 x 2p bedroom, and 1 x bedroom with bunk beds of 6x 1 pers beds. The lovely magnesium salt pool is open from 1/5 to 31/9. It is covered by an automatic slatted deck, so safe for children. The house is heated by central heating and a wood stove with wood from our own forest. The kitchen is fully equipped. We have 2 verandas, on 1 is a large 10-person dining table and the gas BBQ. 100 meters from the house is a railroad line where 4 times an hour a train passes. Makes considerable noise for 10 sec! We rent to families, not to groups of (young) adults. When booking Friday to Sunday (weekend rate) is the check out nice and late at 19.00
Nature and surroundings
Cosy accommodation in the middle of nature in a lovingly decorated cottage. Enjoy peace, space and silence. You share the forest with hundreds of birds, squirrels, deer, hares, owls, woodpeckers etc. The animals are not afraid and often show themselves. Here you live as much outside as inside. At night you dream away in fine beds with the sound of the owls. The house is not on a park but free in our own forest, in total privacy. The children enjoy themselves with the pool, trampo, swings etc. Thanks to the 2 large covered verandas you sit sheltered, even when it rains and in the evening. At 10 min drive you will find Deventer with many nice stores and restaurants. Nearby is Gorssel with museums, and cozy restaurants and stores. Around our house are plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling or running on 1 of the beautiful dirt roads. From Amsterdam you are there by car in. 70 min, there is also a fast train (1 hr 12 min). The bus is fast and stops nearby.
