Nature house in Le Mayet de Montagne

Welcome to our lovely nature house, located on a rock, under monumental trees, between two streams and on a hiking trail. If you love privacy and the babbling murmur of water, our cottage will satisfy you. 3km away is Le Mayet de Montagne with all necessary amenities. The house consists of two parts, connected at the front by a covered terrace. On the left is the kitchen with dining area, sitting area and cozy wood stove and on the other side is a large living room, renovated in the style of a rugged mountain cabin, with a comfortable leather sofa. You can easily stay here as two couples and still maintain your privacy. The basement is partially carved out of the rock. Here is a play area with table tennis table and dartboard. The natural garden has spots of sun and shade throughout the day, and features a sitting pit with outdoor stove. At the bottom of the rock runs a small river where it is nice to stay on hot days.

The area is suitable for endless hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and horseback riding. At 5 min walk, in a beautiful location is the Lake St. Clement with a cozy terrace, an adventure park in the tops of the trees and a zip line over the water. At 1000 meters altitude is La Loge des Gardes. This is a small ski resort where also in summer there is a lot of fun for young and old such as: tobogganing, mountain-stepping, restaurant etc. Besides Chatel-Montagne, Clermont-Ferrand, Roanne, St-Hoan le Chatel, Ambierle, the famous spa town of Vichy with its city beach and promenade with cozy waterfront cafes should not be missed. There is a wonderfully beautiful, kilometers long cycling route along the Allier. A nice experience is a visit to the market in Marcigny on Monday mornings with small and poultry and many local products, surrounded by numerous terraces.
