Nature house in Achouffe-Houffalize

Fine cozy cottage in the ardennes in beautiful surroundings. The hiking trails start almost at the door of the cottage. The cottage was reasonably cleaned when we arrived, although there was still dust and cobwebs here and there in the living room and on the toilet. Unfortunately a major setback that we did not get a large part of our deposit back because of the use of extra bed linen because people slept apart from each other (which is not crazy with narrow beds). Deposit is meant to cover damages and serious negligence, not regular expenses such as laundry costs. Also, this was not mentioned in the house rules either!

Prima knus huisje in de ardennen in een prachtige omgeving. De wandelroutes starten zowat bijna voor de deur van het huisje. Het huisje was redelijk gepoetst toen wij aankwamen, al hing hier en daar nog stof en spinnenwebben in de woonkamer en op het toilet.

Helaas een flinke tegenvaller dat wij een groot deel van onze borg niet hebben teruggekregen vanwege het gebruik van extra bedlinnen omdat mensen apart van elkaar sliepen (wat overigens niet gek is met smalle bedden). Borg is bedoeld om schade en ernstige nalatigheid te dekken, niet om reguliere kosten zoals waskosten te dekken. Tevens stond dit ook niet vermeld in de huisregels!

Beautiful surroundings with wonderful hiking trails. Also nice to visit Bastogne with its war museum.

Prachtige omgeving met heerlijke wandelroutes. Ook leuk om Bastogne te bezoeken met het bijbehorende war museum.

Fine cottage, cottage-like. Beautiful surroundings and quiet. Only the stairs inside could use mats because of slipping and outside the large gray tiles better capture because of fall danger.

Fijn huisje, cottage achtig. Prachtige omgeving en rustig. Alleen de trap binnen kan wel matjes gebruiken ivm uitglijden en buiten de grote grijze tegels beter vast leggen ivm val gevaar.

We experienced it as very nice. Very beautiful surroundings and quiet. The cottage was fine. Only the sauna was not there which is shown in the pictures, although we did not mind. The owner is very friendly. We definitely recommend it!

Wij hebben het als heel fijn ervaren. Hele mooie omgeving en rustig. Het huisje was prima in orde. Alleen de sauna was er niet die wel op de foto's te zien is, alhoewel wij het niet erg vonden. De eigenaar is heel vriendelijk. We raden het zeker aan!

Without a doubt a topper in nature houses. The owners deserve kudos for organization, communication, hygiene and reception. What a practical cottage and what a fantastic location. Thank you Stef and Heidi! Waaauw....

Fantastic location 200 m from the brewery and above all lots of nature and hiking trails between forest, tree and water features. Particularly friendly welcome to then arrive in an immaculate cottage with excellent beds, all possible amenities with sweets, cakes, coffee, tea, sanitary facilities....kortom, everything was thought of and hygiene was impeccable. We could only find plus points for this location.

Fantastische ligging op 200 m van de brouwerij en vooral héél veel natuur en wandelwegen tussen bos, boom en waterpartijen. Bijzonder vriendelijk onthaal om dan te arriveren in een smetteloos huisje met uitstekende bedden, alle mogelijke voorzieningen met snoepjes, koeken, koffie, thee, sanitair....kortom, aan alles werd gedacht en de hygiëne was onberispelijk. We konden enkel maar pluspunten vinden voor deze locatie.
