Our "Herrukot" lakeside vacation home, newly built in 2015, is in a fantastic secluded location right on the lake. Two separate bedrooms each with two very comfortable 90×200 cm beds, bathroom with walk-in shower, underfloor heating throughout the house, living-dining room with sofa bed and fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, ceramic hob (4 plates) and oven provide the basis for a relaxing vacation on 66 m2. A washing machine makes packing easier. WiFi is available free of charge, and bed linen, towels and tea towels are also provided. The icing on the cake is the 60m2 wooden terrace with its own hot tub and fantastic views of the lake, mountains and Hekla volcano. The Nature house is very well insulated and due to the ideal location in South Iceland, a stay in winter is also very suitable, the northern lights are a very special experience due to the secluded location without lights from other houses in the area.

Our farmhouse is only about 400 hundred meters away, you are welcome to ride out on our farm. We will help you with all questions about your vacation and with tips for planning excursions! Herrukot is ideal for all excursions to the natural beauty of South Iceland.
