Nature house in Moddergat

Small, but nice. It is a listed building. Often wonderfully cool on hot days. You imagine yourself a little back in the old days.

Klein, maar fijn. Het is een monumentaal pand. Vaak heerlijk koel op hete dagen. Je waant je een beetje terug in vroegere tijden.

Wonderfully quiet, close to the Wadden coast. I could take a quick look on the dike if I wanted to experience the mudflats and the wind.

Heerlijk rustig, dichtbij de Waddenkust. Ik kon even snel op de dijk kijken als ik even het wad en de wind wilde ervaren.

We were looking for a place for 2 weeks of peace and nature. Definitely succeeded! Worth repeating.

Wij waren op zoek naar een plek voor 2 weken rust en natuur. Zeker gelukt! Voor herhaling vatbaar.

A cozy cottage with all the trimmings. Lots of books and games. Lovely bedsteads to sleep in. The cottage made us feel like we had stepped back in time, also in terms of furnishings. The little garden was lovely to sit in. We were surrounded by the smell of English tea roses and honeysuckle. The table freezer in the barn was a bonus. In 1 word: great vacation destination!

Een knus huisje met alles erop en eraan. Heel veel boeken en spelletjes. Heerlijke bedsteden om in te slapen. Het huisje gaf ons het gevoel dat we terug in de tijd beland waren, ook qua inrichting. Het tuintje was heerlijk om in te zitten. We waren omgeven door de geur van Engelse theerozen en kamperfoelie. De tafeldiepvries in de schuur was een toppertje. In 1 woord: geweldige vakantiebestemming!

Misschien ook bij lagere temperatuur, dat de CV ergens tegen 14:00 uur iets aangezet wordt. Nu was het 11 graden en dan duurt het even voor het een graat op 19 is.

We denken bij natuur vaak aan bossen, dit huisje ligt pal aan de Waddenzee (werelderfgoed) in de polder.
Rust ja zeker, natuur weinig van kunnen zien dan werd veroorzaakt door de laaghangende dikke bewolking.
Zicht soms 500 m tot 1 km op zaterdag, zondag klaarde het wat op.

In het huisje ruik je de oudheid,daar dien je een beetje aan te wennen. Geheel is goed uitgerust, zeker de keuken.
Als je daar zelf wil koken er is voldoende tot aan kruiden toe. Tja dat het soms iets vochtig is, is ook logisch. Het zal niet dagelijk bewoond zijn waardoor de CV niet veel zal branden.

Bbq hebben we niet geprobeerd, daarvan hadden we verwacht dat als er gasten verwacht worden deze e rminder stoffig uit zou zien.
