Nature house in Saint-Vincent, Col de Joux

Extremely hospitable and excellent reception. Cottage is well equipped with 1 comment. The double bed creaks and by the way is also not good enough for the price of this house.

Bijzonder gastvrije en prima ontvangst. Huisje is goed voorzien met 1 kanttekening. Het tweepersoonsbed kraakt en is ook overigens niet goed genoeg voor de prijs van dit huis.

The house is beautifully situated in the green with beautiful views and every imaginable peace, just below the Col de Joux

The cottage feels like you are staying in your grandparents' most cozy, warm cottage. With the original books in the bookcase, the bedspread, the paintings and decorations on the walls, the dishes in the large wooden cabinet, ... The cottage and the garden around it are very spacious, you have plenty of space everywhere (only the kitchen has limited work surface and storage space, but everything is there). We really had a very nice week. The hus, the surroundings, the mountains, the walks, the food! It was great.

Het huisje voelt aan alsof je in het meest gezellige, warme vakantiehuisje van je grootouders verblijft. Met de originele boeken in het boekenrek, de sprei op het bed, de schilderijen en decoratie aan de muren, het servies in de grote houten kast, …
Het huisje en de tuin erom heen zijn heel ruim, je hebt overal plek genoeg (alleen de keuken heeft maar beperkte werkvlak en opbergruimte, maar alles is wel aanwezig). We hadden echt een hele fijne week. Het hus, de omgeving, de bergen, de wandelingen, het eten! Het was geweldig.

The cottage is located on a mountainside, in the greenery, with a beautiful view of the valley. You are onledig surrounded by a grassy meadow, grazed by cows, and by trees. Here and there is another cottage, but well away. Directly from the cottage there are a number of walks, into the mountains and forests.

Het huisje ligt op een bergflank, in het groen, met een prachtig uitzicht op het dal. Je bent onledig omgeven door een grasweide, begraasd door koeien, en door bomen. Hier en daar staat een ander huisje, maar op ruime afstand.
Direct vanaf het huisje zijn er een aantal wandelingen, de bergen en de bossen in.

We had prepared for absolutely no wi-fi but in some parts of the cottage/outside there is a little wi-fi; but those who want to completely de-connect can do so perfectly!

We hadden ons voorbereid op totaal geen wi-fi maar in sommige delen van het huisje/buiten is er een beetje wi-fi; maar wie compleet wil deconnecteren, kan dit perfect doen!

The nature house is really a nature house: a mountain/forest house beautifully situated on the flank of a mountain with a large garden, beautiful views. The house is in a hamlet with a few other houses but the tranquility is absolute. The house is very comfortable: all facilities to cook for yourself. Very clean with spacious separate dining area and cozy sitting area. The pellet stove is a real winner, even in the middle of hot summer the mountain evenings are chilly and the stove provides cozy warmth. The hostess provided plenty of bed and bath linen as well as a packet of coffee for the bialetti; in short super thoughtful welcome!!! Nearby you can make beautiful walks and shopping is easy in Brusson (about 20 minutes drive). Should we go this way again, we would gladly choose this nature house again! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Het natuurhuisje is écht een natuurhuisje: een berg/boshuis schitterend gelegen op de flank van een berg met een grote tuin, mooi uitzicht. Het huis staat in een gehucht met een paar andere woningen maar de rust is absoluut. Het huis is heel comfortabel: alle faciliteiten om zelf te koken. Zeer proper met ruime aparte eetruimte en gezellige zithoek. De pelletkachel is een echte topper, zelf in het midden van hete zomer zijn de bergavonden fris en zorgt de kachel voor een gezellige warmte. De gastvrouw heeft voldoende bed en badlinnen voorzien evenals een pakje koffie voor de bialetti; kortom super attent welkom!!! In de buurt kan je prachtige wandelingen maken en boodschappen doe je makkelijk in Brusson (op ongeveer 20 minuten rijden). Mochten we nog een keer deze richting uitgaan, dan kiezen we met plezier terug voor dit natuurhuisje! Dankjewel voor een prachtig verblijf.
