The well-signposted network of trails along the famous and legendary Rennsteig high-altitude hiking trail, as well as its wild and romantic valleys, make your vacation something special. The Rennsteig cycle path, the Werratal cycle path and the Schwarzatal cycle path are very popular with cyclists. But there are also excursions in the surrounding area: Werra spring, Schwarza spring, reservoir, museum of glass art in Lauscha, fairy grottoes in Saalfeld, Morassina grotto in Schmiedefeld, Greifenstein Castle, marine aquarium in Zella-Mehlis.
