Nature house in Le Val d'Ajol

A brocant cottage reminiscent of a fairy tale. At first it seems a bit crowded and dusty because of the amount of stuff but soon you will discover little gems here and there. Marga the owner lives next door but you don't notice that. When you need her she is very accessible but otherwise you can enjoy complete privacy.

Een brocant huisje wat doet denken aan een sprookjeshuisje. Bij aanvang lijkt het wat druk en stofferig door de hoeveelheid spullen maar al snel ontdek je hier en daar kleine pareltjes.

Marga de eigenares woont ernaast maar daar merk je niks van. Wanneer je ze nodig hebt is ze zeer bereikbaar maar verder kan je er in alle privacy genieten.

Blessed region for hiking. The village is nearby yet far enough where you can find everything you need.

Zalig streek om te wandelen. Het dorpje is vlakbij maar toch ver genoeg waar je alles kan vinden wat je nodig hebt.

We were able to sit outside on the terrace. There was a cozy kitchen. We slept well.Some (old) doors creaked/squeaked loudly, so that was not so convenient with the baby's naps but that will not be a problem for most guests.The owner is friendly and helpful.

We hebben heerlijk buiten kunnen zitten op het terras. Er was een gezellige keuken. We hebben goed geslapen.

Sommige (oude) deuren kraken/piepen luid, dus dat was niet zo handig met de dutjes van de baby maar dat zal voor de meeste gasten geen probleem zijn.

De eigenaresse is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Wonderfully quiet, beautiful view. You can hear the stream. You can hike there nicely. There are not many buggy-friendly walks so a baby carrier is handy.

Heerlijk rustig, mooi uitzicht. Je hoort het beekje. Je kunt er mooi wandelen. Er zijn niet veel buggy-vriendelijke wandelingen dus een draagzak voor een baby is wel handig.

The cottage is quiet and out of the way. You come across few people, which is an advantage for us, but at the same time it is very easy to do the shopping etc. nearby. Fine bakeries also among others.The cottage itself is very spacious and you can sit inside and outside very well. The cottage is cool, even on (very) hot days. Also outside it is nice to sit in the shade of the parasols provided when it is hot. At night it cools down well which also makes sleeping pleasant. We had a wonderful week here.

Het huisje ligt rustig en uit de route. Je komt weinig mensen tegen,wat voor ons een pre is, maar tegelijk is het heel gemakkelijk om in de buurt de boodschappen etc. te doen. Fijne bakkerijen ook onder meer.

Het huisje zelf is zeer ruim en je kunt er zowel binnen als buiten prima zitten. Het huisje is koel, ook op (hele) warme dagen. Ook buiten is het fijn zitten in de schaduw van de aanwezige parasols als het warm is. 's Avonds koelt het goed af wat het slapen ook prettig maakt. We hebben hier een heerlijke week gehad.

The Vosges Mountains are beautiful and very nice to explore from this cottage. All kinds of options at your disposal, from waterfalls, springs, mountain lakes to swim in or just a brisk walk: everything is possible in the area. Around the cottage is also very quiet and you can relax.

De Vogezen zijn prachtig en heel fijn te verkennen vanuit dit huisje. Allerhande opties tot je beschikking, van watervallen, bronnen, bergmeren om in te zwemmen of gewoon een stevige wandeling: alles kan in de omgeving. Rondom het huisje is het ook heerlijk rustig en kan je fijn tot rust komen.
