Nature house in Agios Polikarpos

Our house is located on a small mountainside near the river Charakas in the area of Raches. Surrounded by donkey roads it is completely isolated but very close to three small villages and only 10 minutes from the sea by car. It is a renovated old farmhouse with 4 acres of garden and orchards. The house has a nice open kitchen and a nice bathroom. One bedroom with two single beds and a double bed in the small barn next to the house where you wake up in spring with the sound of frogs in the river. In front of the cottage are nice places to read or have a drink with a view.

The island of Ikaria is a wild and pure island with beautiful people and nature. Our house is located in the area of Raches and within walking distance of three villages, Agios Polikarpos, Agios Dimitrios and Christos Raches. Several "monopathis" or hiking trails can be walked from the house. From the main road a steep road of about 100m leads to the house which is difficult to drive with a rental car. Within reachable distance there are many places to visit as the island is rich in culture and beautiful landscapes.
