Nature house in Desaignes

In the mountains of the green Ardeche close to Desaignes lies this old schoolhouse which was built here in 1900 for the children of the farms, which were too far away from Desaignes, the medieval town 6 km below. The nature house lies free in the middle of the nature of parc regional de Ardeche in a hameau with about 13 houses in the area. The garden is enclosed by an old wall and offers lots of privacy, from the house you can walk into the woods and you can make beautiful walks. It is an old house which is not for rental but for ourselves. It is fully equipped but not a super luxury house but tastefully decorated with such modern art on the wall so there you can stand.

The medieval town Desaignes lies 6 km via a small road through the woods and meadows, another 6 km further lies Lamastre a larger town where there are more shops/supermarkets and every Tuesday and Saturday there is a market. In Desaignes there is a plan d'eau a part of the river which is enclosed by a dam with a small beach and a slide where you can swim. In the direction of Lamastre there is another plan d'eau at Retourtour and a bit further in the other direction there is a larger lake, lac de Devestet. Furthermore there are all kinds of activities in the neighbourhood, from horseback riding to a large climbing forest.
