Nature house in Gerfalco

I'm finding it a little hard to rate this—the house, the property, and the surroundings were all truly beautiful; the kitchen is equipped with the essentials, which was enough for us.
We planned this vacation as a family with our 10-year-old daughter and our two dogs, and we’d been looking forward to wonderful days by the pool for months—and even went shopping for them....When we arrived, we were presented with a list full of pool rules stating that we weren’t allowed to use any of these things—not even diving, as it’s a relaxation pool. And even though our dogs don’t go in the water, they weren’t allowed in the pool area—which is actually quite large, and the dogs can’t get near the water anyway.... We understand this, of course, but we think it should have been mentioned in the description. So one of us watched the dogs while the other swam with our child... that’s not quite how we imagined our family time....
As a couple, yes; as a family, no.

Die Bewertung fällt mir etwas schwer, das Haus, das Grundstück die Umgebung, war alles wirklich wunderschön, die Küche ist mit dem nötigsten ausgestattet, hat für uns gereicht.
Wir haben den Urlaub als Familie mit unserer 10 Jahre alten Tochter und unseren 2 Hunden geplant und haben uns Monate auf wunderbare Pooltage gefreut und haben dafür eingekauft....Als wir ankamen wurde uns eine Liste voller Poolregeln vorgelegt worin stand,das wir dies alles nicht benutzen dürfen, eigentlich auch nicht Tauchen, es handelt sich um einen Entspannungspool, und auch obwohl unsere Hunde nicht Wasser gehen, durften sie nicht mit an die Pool Area, welche eigentlich wirklich groß ist und die Hunde nicht in die Nähe des Wassers kommen....wir haben da natürlich Verständnis für, finden aber das dies in der Beschreibung stehen sollte. So hat einer auf die Hunde aufgepasst und einer konnte mit unserem Kind schwimmen...so haben wir unsere Familienzeit nicht ganz vorgestellt....

The location is quiet, right in the middle of the forest; the drive there is a bit of an adventure—it’s actually best to tackle it in a Jeep or SUV.
We received a warm welcome.
The property is truly large and beautiful; there are several shady spots, and the small terrace right outside our door invites you to linger. We had breakfast there every morning, surrounded by the wonderful scent of lavender, and enjoyed the view.
Gerfalco is a charming little village with two restaurants where we were made to feel truly welcome.

However, the cities of Pisa and Florence are just under two hours away, not one hour as described.

Die Lage befindet sich ruhig, mitten im Wald, der Weg dorthin ist etwas Abenteuerlich, eigentlich am besten mit einem Jeep oder SUV zu bewältigen.
Wir wurden freundlich empfangen.
Das Grundstück ist wirklich groß und wunderschön, es gibt einige Schattige Plätze und auch die kleine Terrasse vor der eigenen Tür lädt zum verweilen ein, wir haben dort jeden Morgen unser Frühstück, neben dem Wunderbaren Lavendelduft, eingenommen und die Aussicht genossen.
Gerfalco ist ein zauberhaftes Dörfchen mit 2 Restaurants in welchen wir wirklich willkommen waren.

Die Städte Pisa und Florenz sind allerdings knapp 2 Stunden entfernt, nicht 1 wie beschrieben.

Location, owners, facilites and price/quality.... tutto molto buono!

Absolutely great location. Fine owners. Simple but complete kitchen and especially the combo with the pool, after one of the many beautiful walks nearby is top. Location, location, location... in the middle of a protected nature reserve!

Absoluut een geweldige locatie. Fijne eigenaren. Simpele maar complete keuken en vooral de combi met het zwembad, na een van de vele prachtige wandelingen in de buurt is top. Locatie, locatie, locatie... midden in een beschermd natuurgebied!

We found it a beautiful and quiet place in the midst of nature. Everything was there and very well taken care of. Also a blissful pool and several places where you could sit at ease. The host and hostess who lived upstairs are very modest and friendly, but supported where needed.

We vonden het een prachtige en rustige plek temidden van de natuur. Alles was aanwezig en heel verzorgd. Ook een zalig zwembad en verschillende plekjes waar je op je gemak kon zitten. De gastheer en gastvrouw die boven woonden zijn heel bescheiden en vriendelijk, maar ondersteunden waar nodig.

The surroundings and views were beautiful! Even from the infinity pool you could enjoy a fantastic view over a beautiful piece of Tuscany. The garden and the view of this nature house was even more beautiful than what we imagined from the pictures. Definitely recommended!

De omgeving en uitzicht was prachtig! Zelfs vanuit het infinity zwembad kon je genieten van een fantastisch uitzicht over een mooi stuk Toscane. De tuin en het uitzicht van dit natuurhuisje was nog mooier dan wat we ons voorstelden bij de foto´s. Zeker een aanrader!
