Nature and surroundings
Our village Uxeau lies at the foot of Mont Dardon ( H 506) one of the southernmost foothills of the Morvan. Very far away from all the hustle and bustle, no air routes just the silence and tranquility of nature. The cottage is located at the edge of the forest on a hill. The garden (65 a) with swimming pool is located on a southern slope with magnificent views and a cozy sitting area under our hundred-year-old oak. At night no light pollution but an impressive starry sky. The region is known for its green meadows bordered by endless hedges and forests. At the top of Mont Dardon, one has a breathtaking view of the region. Hiking and forest trails from the house as in a large park landscape. Beautiful art cities nearby Autun, Paray Le Monial, Beaune, Chalon s. Saone, Charolles, Cluny.

The bathroom was very spacious, which was really nice.
Since the living room was very dark—because the shutters were closed to keep out the heat—we didn’t use the living room at all.
We spent our time either outside or in the kitchen once it got dark.
The only downside to being outdoors was the flies, which we found particularly
annoying while eating. We understand this is part of nature, but it does make
the overall experience a little less enjoyable.De badkamer was heel ruim, dit was erg prettig.

A lovely house with a beautiful pool. Because of the heat wave during our stay, the pool was a godsend. The house stayed reasonably cool despite the high temperatures outside.
