Our house in Uxeau dates back to 1880 and, after the last renovation, is equipped with every comfort. Moody decorated in country style with all kinds of stuff coming from local brocant markets. The house can accommodate 2 to 6 people. Spacious living room (50 m2) with monastery table and a cozy sitting area by the wood stove, music system, books, CDs and DVDs, all kinds of information and maps available. Country kitchen with stove, dishwasher, microwave oven and large refrigerator and freezer. 3 bedrooms, one on the ground floor next to the bathroom and two large attic rooms with air conditioning. Bathroom with double sink, shower, bathtub and washing machine, upstairs and downstairs toilet. Spacious garden (6000 m2) with swimming pool 9 x 4 x 1.2 m, outdoor shower and adjacent gazebo, play tower with swing and sandbox. Two covered summer terraces. Spacious storage room with several outdoor games. Ping pong table and two bikes available. Kayaking and fishing 2 km away. All kinds of shopping facilities at 15 km.
Nature and surroundings
Our village Uxeau lies at the foot of Mont Dardon ( H 506) one of the southernmost foothills of the Morvan. Very far away from all the hustle and bustle, no air routes just the silence and tranquility of nature. The cottage is located at the edge of the forest on a hill. The garden (65 a) with swimming pool is located on a southern slope with magnificent views and a cozy sitting area under our hundred-year-old oak. At night no light pollution but an impressive starry sky. The region is known for its green meadows bordered by endless hedges and forests. At the top of Mont Dardon, one has a breathtaking view of the region. Hiking and forest trails from the house as in a large park landscape. Beautiful art cities nearby Autun, Paray Le Monial, Beaune, Chalon s. Saone, Charolles, Cluny.
