Le Gite sits in the grounds of an old 18th Century Manor House, it was once the home of the stock man. The open plan living area contains two large comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove for cosy winter evenings and a flat screen TV and DVD player. The table can seat six and the kitchen contains a Dishwasher, Fridge, Electric induction hob, and Electric oven, Microwave, Kettle and a Toaster. At the top of the stairs there is a sofa and space for some quiet reading or a rug on which to play board games. There is a bathroom with a toilet as well as a shower room and a separate toilet. There are three bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, one with twin beds and one with a super king-size bed which can be adapted into twin beds if preferred. Between May and September the private heated pool is available. At the rear of the Gite is an enclosed courtyard capable of parking several cars on the gravel drive. The terrace at the front of the property is perfect for al-fresco dining.

Doumailhac is just a kilometre from La Chapelle Montbrandeix, a small village whose centre contains the Mairie, the church and luckily, a very good restaurant-Chez Jules. La Chapelle Montbrandeix is centrally located in the Perigord Vert Natural Parc and is a perfect location for those wishing to escape from a busy life. The area is one of woods, lakes and rolling meadows. The bird life is amazing, the wild life is available to even the casual observer and the fishing abundant. Walking and cycling are popular local activities. Our barn contains a table tennis table, badmington, darts and a selection of bikes for guests to use. Nature, peace & environment:It was a lovely house of all amenities. A view over a lovely large field and sometimes some horses. We really enjoyed the tranquility and the lovely pool
