Nature house in Pianazzola - Chiavenna

With this ad we book only double rooms with private bathroom. In our building, which was an elementary school until 1981, we have 4 double and 1 triple rooms furnished with different school theme, in memory of the old use of the building; there are also 3 panoramic studios with kitchen, bookable from other ad ("Vecchiascuola Flat/Studio"). We are located in the mountain hamlet of Chiavenna called Pianazzola, at 630m sml at the end of an uphill winding road 5km from the center of Chiavenna: an old pedestrian hamlet of few inhabitants and no stores, all with small stone streets. Ours is the last building going down, in a panoramic position, reachable only by walking 300m from the parking lot above. Nature, tranquility, views and relaxation are certainly not lacking! There is also a tavern on the ground floor with a panoramic terrace, which we recommend you book in advance if you plan to dine there. Other options for eating something in Pianazzola are none.

We are located in the scenic hamlet of Pianazzola (Chiavenna), and nearby you will find plenty of opportunities for walking in the woods with many beautiful destinations to reach on foot: the Acquafraggia waterfall in Borgonuovo, Savogno, Daloo, Lagunc. You can also walk from Chiavenna center (a tourist resort with many bars, restaurants and stores) to Pianazzola, where in today's days there are no more stores. We have a terrace with lawn for sunbathing, away from traffic and noise, with a fabulous view of Chiavenna and the valley. A ferrata is located 500 meters from us. And for the more athletic, possibilities for canyoning in Val Bodengo in summer or skiing in Madesimo in winter. In autumn you can collect chestnuts and mushrooms in the nearby woods. Not far away is the Swiss border, with Soglio and Val Bregaglia. We are 50km from St. Moritz and 25km from Lake Como.
