Unwind in our coastal cottage. Use all your senses when discovering the Wadden Sea, Unesco World Heritage Site. Here you can enjoy walking or blowing off some wind, cycling and bird watching. For day trips you are within an hour in Leeuwarden, Groningen or on Schiermonnikoog or Ameland. Have you ever been to the beautiful Dokkum? That is only 12 km away. We have made the nature house as comfortable as possible, including coffee and tea facilities. The bed is made and there are plenty of hand and kitchen towels. Are you still missing something? Nature and surroundings
Because I love the Wadden Sea immensely myself, I want others to enjoy it with me. I am a nature lover and also like to go to places in the world where I can discover nature. Visitors to our villages are very enthusiastic about the surroundings and because I have the space for overnight stays, I thus give them the opportunity to discover the Frisian coast. In addition, the ferry to Ameland or to Schiermonnikoog is only a 20-minute drive away. It is wonderful to spend a day getting a breath of fresh air on one of the islands. Walk along the dike and enjoy the view of the sea, smell the typical sea air, hear the surf and the birds, taste the salty air, feel the tranquility. On rare occasions, you may encounter a seal. At night you will see countless stars. Bring old, sturdy shoes for mudflat hiking. Some old clothing is also handy. You are guaranteed to get dirty; to clean your feet, there are old towels waiting for you.
