Nature house in Weidenberg

Our detached lakeside Nature house, which is over 100 years old, is located at the entrance to the Fichtelgebirge. A bike path starts right outside the front door. The Nature house is self-sufficient in water, supplied by its own well. You’ll have the Nature house all to yourselves. Shopping options are 1 km from the house. Idyllically situated in the heart of nature, the Warme Steinach River flows alongside the garden, and a small swimming lake lies directly to the right of the property. In the summer, you can take a refreshing dip in the lake right after waking up, or put on your water shoes and enjoy a refreshing Kneipp bath right in the river. The house is accessible only via a gated private road, ensuring maximum privacy.Hiking trails into the Fichtelgebirge mountains start right at your doorstep. In winter, you can ski or cross-country ski on numerous trails. End your day comfortably by the Swedish stove. We provide bed linens and a set of towels.

Located 15 km away in Bayreuth (population approx. 70,000) is the Margravial Opera House, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012. It is one of the few theater and opera houses in Europe (1748) that has been preserved in its original form and is a jewel among 18th-century theater buildings.On the Green Hill stands the Festspielhaus, built in 1875 according to designs by Richard Wagner in the Hellenistic Romantic style. The world-famous Richard Wagner Festival takes place here every summer. Numerous politicians and many celebrities attend the festival each year. The Hermitage Park, built in the 18th century in the Rococo style, is another absolute highlight, featuring the gilded quadriga, the Temple of the Sun, and the New Palace.Other attractions worth seeing include the Richard Wagner Museum, the Prehistoric Museum with its dinosaurs (great for kids), the Franz Liszt Museum, and the Old Palace—to name just a few of the many options available.
