Super fine had, here. Indeed, there is a road adjacent to the cottage and you hear occasional traffic passing by. I did not find this disturbing. I liked that it was in a busier village, and that you also had direct contact with your neighbors in the cottage next door. You're in Achouffe, the birthplace of the beer La Chouffe, so tourism is focused on this as well, and there was the occasional group of drunk men walking up the hill. So if you are really looking for silence and a kind of middle of nowhere experience, this is not the choice for you. But if you want to enjoy hiking in wonderful nature, and also sit on a terrace 3 minutes walk from your house afterwards, then yes! For us it was wonderful with a small child! Super cozy, nice cottage, simple interior, but everything you need was there. Also the hostess was very friendly in communication and I am really very pleased with our stay. Finest vacation in ages. We will definitely come back again!

Superfijn gehad, hier. Inderdaad, er ligt een weg aan het huisje en je hoort af en toe verkeer langsrijden. Ik vond dit niet storend. Ik vond het fijn dat het in een drukker dorpje lag, en dat je ook direct contact had met je buren in het huisje naast je. Je bent in Achouffe, het geboortedorp van het bier La Chouffe, dus het toerisme is hier ook op gericht en er liep wel eens een groepje dronken mannen de heuvel op. Als je dus echt op zoek bent naar stilte en een soort 'middle of nowhere' ervaring, dan is dit niet de keuze voor jou. Maar als je lekker wilt wandelen in heerlijke natuur, en ook daarna op 3 minuten loopafstand van je huis op een terrasje wilt zitten, dan wel! Voor ons was het heerlijk met een klein kindje! Supergezellig gehad, fijn huisje, simpel interieur, maar alles wat je nodig hebt was aanwezig. Ook de gastvrouw was zeer vriendelijk in de communicatie en ik ben echt zeer te spreken over ons verblijf. Fijnste vakantie in tijden. We komen zeker nog eens terug!

Is already our 2nd time in the cottage as we like it very much and will probably not be our last. Is not a super deluxe cottage but an authentic Ardennes cottage and value for money. Is easily accessible, has parking with lighting and fenced garden ideal for our small dog. All the necessary for daily use is present and in order and tidy.

Is reeds onze 2de keer in het huisje daar het ons goed bevalt en zal waarschijnlijk niet onze laatste keer zijn.
Is geen super de luxe huisje maar een authentiek Ardeens huisje en waar voor je geld.
Is gemakkelijk bereikbaar, heeft parking met verlichting en omheinde tuin ideaal voor ons kleine hond.
Al het nodige voor dagelijks gebruik is aanwezig en in orde en netjes.

Beautiful and quiet area with many marked hiking trails starting in Achouffe at 300m. from the cottage. There is also very ideal for cycling or mountain biking though directly heavy. And at walking distance, a 300m. you can go enjoy a drink or a snack.

Mooie en rustige omgeving met veel uitgestippelde wandelmogelijkheden die vertrekken in Achouffe op 300m. van het huisje. Is er ook heel ideaal voor het fietsen of mountainbiken wel direct zwaar.
En op wandel afstand, een 300m. kan je gaan heerlijk genieten van een drankje of een hapje.
