The cottage is beautifully tucked away, surrounded by trees and bushes. Since it’s set back from the road, you don’t notice any of the already sparse traffic. You can reach the cottage fairly easily via winding little roads, where the hostess is incredibly kind and makes sure you have everything you need. The cottage is charming and fully furnished, with a lovely garden where we even spotted a little deer at dusk. It stayed surprisingly “cool” during our stay, even though temperatures often reached 30+ degrees. In the summer, you should only walk the dog from the cottage in the morning and evening, because otherwise the asphalt gets too hot for its paws. But by car, you can reach the beautiful surrounding forests fairly quickly. There, the dog can run around freely. Sometimes you might need to keep him on a leash for a bit because there are dogs running free to guard herds against wolves, but that’s clearly marked. We had a wonderful time.

Het huisje ligt prachtig verscholen omringd door bomen en struiken. Doordat het een stuk van de weg ligt merk je van het al weinige verkeer niets. Via kronkel weggetjes bereik je redelijk eenvoudig het huisje, waar de verhuurster er alleraardigst voor zorgt dat het je aan niets ontbreekt. Het huis is sfeervol en compleet ingericht met een heerlijke tuin, waar we in de avondschemering zelfs een hertje hebben gezien. Het bleef verrassend 'koel' tijdens ons verblijf waarbij het vaak 30+ was. De hond uitlaten vanuit het huisje moet je in de zomer alleen in de ochtend en avond doen omdat het anders op het asfalt te heet wordt voor de pootjes. Maar met de auto ben je redelijk snel in de prachtige bossen van de omgeving. Daar kan de hond heerlijk loslopen. Soms moet je hem wellicht een stuk aanlijnen doordat er loslopende honden kuddes bewaken tegen de wolven, maar dat staat netjes aangegeven. We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad.

The area is incredibly green, remarkably peaceful, and has many hiking trails. Unfortunately, it was too hot for us (over 30 degrees) to go on many hikes. We did take the car for a walk with the dog, though, because the paved road leading from the cottage quickly got too hot for the dog’s paws. Lake Orta, which is only a 12-minute drive away, provided plenty of relief from the heat, whether from the shore or from the small boat we rented. The large town of Omegna was wonderfully quiet in July, with a number of nice little restaurants. It’s best to avoid the beautiful village of San Giulio on weekends (you won’t find a free parking spot), but during the week and in the morning, it was lovely to stroll through the idyllic streets. However, there are so many beautiful places to visit that we’ll definitely be going back.

De omgeving is enorm groen, opvallend rustig en kent vele wandelroutes. Het was voor ons helaas te warm (30+ graden) om veel wandelingen te maken. Voor een wandeling met de hond pakte we wel de auto, omdat de asfaltweg vanuit het huisje al snel te warm werd voor de pootjes van de hond. Het Orta meer, wat slechts op 12 minuten rijden ligt, zorgde voor voldoende afkoeling, vanaf de kant of vanaf het door ons gehuurde bootje. De grote plaats Omegna was in de maand juli heerlijk rustig met een aantal leuke restaurantjes. Het prachtige dorp San Giulio kun je beter in je weekend vermijden ( geen vrije parkeerplek te vinden), maar door de weeks en in de ochtend was het heerlijk slenteren door de idyllische straatjes. Er zijn echter zoveel mooie plekken te bezoeken dat we beslist nog een keer teruggaan.

Overall, the experience at Puppi house was truly beautiful.The house was secluded,spacious,with everything needed to ensure a very pleasant mini-vacation.The hamlet is small,cozy and very quiet.The owner was very kind and helpful.If you want relaxation,peace and nature,Puppi house is definitely worth experiencing.The Hot-Tub in winter is a spectacular thing.A warm THANK YOU!

In generale l'esperienza presso casa Puppi è stata veramente bellissima: la casa era isolata, spaziosa, con tutto il necessario per garantire una piacevolissima mini-vacanza.
Il borgo è piccolo, accogliente e molto tranquillo.
La proprietaria è stata molto gentile e disponibile.
Se si vuole relax, pace e natura, casa Puppi merita assolutamente di essere vissuta.
La Hot-Tub in inverno è una cosa spettacolare.

Het huisje is erg sfeervol en is van alle gemakken voorzien.

The cottage is completely free at the edge of a village in the woods. It is wonderfully quiet and the nature around the cottage is beautiful.

Het huisje ligt helemaal vrij aan de rand van een dorpje in de bossen. Het is er heerlijk rustig en de natuur rondom het huisje is prachtig.
