Nature house in Beaulieu

Living like a god in France, applies well to this Chalet. The nature house has a beautiful view over the first reservoir ( 1km wide and 25km long) in the Dordogne. Because the chalet is located high, it overlooks the woods. The garden with height difference of about 30m, consists of several terraces on different levels. A terrace overlooking the lake, a shaded terrace when it is very hot, a play terrace with trampoline and sandpit. The Chalet staggers with the terrain and has a split-level layout. Under the chalet are the storerooms with canoes, BBQs garden sets etc. Ground floor a cozy living room with wood stove and terrace. There is Dutch satellite TV and wifi. Kitchen is equipped with oven, microwave, dishwasher. Half a floor up is the bathroom, toilet, bedroom 1 with double bed and private balcony. Upstairs bedroom 2 with double bed and desk to work on and a spacious landing where there are 2 beds.

The chalet is located on the Dordogne River, which rises in the volcanic mountains 30km away, where you can do great mountain hiking in summer and skiing in winter. The highest mountain is the Puy de Sancy. A little further south is another mountain range including Puy Mary (known from the Tour de France ). Not only for hikers and cyclists, this is a very beautiful area to be. For families there is much to do. Swimming in the very clean lake, you can rent boats, visit Chateau de Val there are several climbing parks nearby, in La Bourboulle is a large playground / amusement park. For shopping you can go to 2 nearest villages Lanobre (very nice bakery in the old village) and in the supermarket of Bort Les Orgues (the Organs). These Orgues are an uplifted rock formation from which you have a beautiful view. But one of the most beautiful attractions is the silence and because it is 1 of the most sparsely populated areas of France, the starry sky is breathtaking.
