We have converted a 200-year-old farmhouse in the French Ardennes into a child-free chambre d'hotes with 4 guest rooms and a forest cabin. There is a common, cozy sitting-dining room where you can have coffee, tea or a drink. Outside are several terraces and spots in the sun or shade. All rooms have a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. WiFi and charging station EV available. For breakfast we use products from our own garden as much as possible, eggs from our own chickens, homemade jam and meat from a nearby farm. A social dog is welcome (no large breed, 2 in consultation). Our grounds, surroundings and rivers also give dogs a vacation. We have our own dogs, cats, chickens and sheep. Room rate for 2 pers, breakfast included. Min. age 18
Nature and surroundings
The French Ardennes are not so well known, but no less beautiful for that. Here you will still find beautiful nature, tranquility and clean air. As the last house of the hamlet of Librecy, our b&b is located in the middle of nature. The road in front of our house continues as an unpaved path into the fields and forests. This is also the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. At 2.5 km is Signy l'Abbaye, a somewhat larger village with many amenities. From the house you can make long and short walks, maps are available. Also at 15 minutes by car are beautiful hiking trails. Many routes are varied with forest, countryside and along farms. There are several mountain bike routes. Historical cities such as Charleville-Mezieres, Sedan and Reims are well worth a visit. Lovers of fun shopping, art and historical museums, champagne and good food have plenty of options in the French Ardennes for a weekend or week stay. On a hot summer day there is a swimming lake nearby

Ruime kamer met keurige badkamer. Heerlijke douche. Grote gemeenschappelijke ruimte die sfeervol was ingericht. Ook het overdekte terras was fijn om te relaxen onder het genot van een drankje. Dit natuurhuisje is een B&B en daardoor met ontbijt dat prima was. Wij hebben een heel fijne week gehad.
Prachtig, ook met regen heerlijk gewandeld.

Majella en Peter geven op een gastvrije wijze invulling aan hun table d'hôtes. De kookkunsten van Majella zijn onovertroffen. De ligging is heel geschikt voor prachtige fietstochten en wandelingen. Het landschap is glooiend dus er is wel een versnelling gewenst. De wegen zijn stil, zonder kuilen en veilig.
Het huisje is prachtig en rustig gelegen.
