Nature house in Bergharen

This nature house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac that connects to various hiking and biking trails through the woods and fields. The 150-year-old pig barn has been architecturally renovated into a modern and comfortable home. The interior can best be described as Scandinavian design, characterized by open, light, and airy spaces. From the large windows and French doors in the living room, you can look out over the meadows and access a terrace with a shade sail. The living room features a corner sofa and a dining area. There is a TV, a Sonos system (radio, podcasts, and music via your own smartphone), and a reliable Wi-Fi connection. The kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a Nespresso machine, electric kettle, microwave, convection oven, washing machine, and dishwasher. Upstairs, there are two very spacious bedrooms. The beds are comfortable box-spring beds with cotton sheets and extra pillows. There is plenty of closet space. Bedding, kitchen linens, and (bath) towels are provided.

Bergharen is located in the heart of the Maas and Waal region. On the one hand, the area is characterized by its rivers, with their dikes, floodplains, and water sports areas such as the De Gouden Ham and Groene Heuvels recreational areas. On the other hand, there are the forests and fens, and the landscape between the rivers, where you can enjoy wonderful walks and bike rides past beautiful farms, through the church villages, to places such as the Gardens of Appeltern, the belt mill in Hernen or Bergharen, the medieval Hernen Castle, or the Land van de Heerlijkheden visitor center in Leur. At the visitor center, you can learn all about special walking and biking routes, points of interest, souvenirs, and local products. The villages of Wijchen and Druten are just a stone’s throw away. Here you’ll find various restaurants, cafés, a movie theater, theaters, a swimming pool, and a golf course.
