Nature house is a very comfortable, low-energy ecological dwelling built with straw, wood and clay, sourcing most of the raw materials locally. Staying in it is very pleasant because of the natural composition of the walls, wooden floor and roof, and self-made furniture with the leftover wood at the end of the work. It does not require a heating system but only three high-efficiency heat points, fueled by local wood, mostly self-produced from continuously regenerating oaks, elms and cascias. It is nestled in the typical Tuscan landscape, among woods, olive groves, vineyards and a wealth of wildlife. It is part of a family project geared toward food and energy self-sufficiency that includes food production through synergistic-natural farming techniques and permaculture.
