The cottage is very thoughtfully furnished with everything you need. The only thing missing was a cheese slicer ;). We had a truly wonderful time there. I can recommend staying here to anyone. The only thing you’ll need is a way to get around, since grocery stores and other destinations aren’t within walking distance—partly because of the curves and steep inclines on the roads. But you choose this cottage for the peace and quiet and the nature, and it certainly delivers on that. I’ve rented cottages many times, but rarely had such a great experience with a stay. The host is also fantastic, with quick and friendly communication. And to top it all off (though you shouldn’t set off fireworks because of the drought) are the wonderfully comfortable beds. I slept incredibly well, partly because the temperature inside the cottage remained very comfortable despite the high temperatures outside. Some water activities weren’t possible due to the drought, but that’s not the cottage’s fault. In addition to all kinds of active pursuits, there are plenty of fun things to do in the surrounding area.

Het huisje is heel slim ingericht met alles wat je nodig hebt. Enige dat miste was een kaasschaaf ;). We hebben het er echt heerlijk gehad. Ik kan iedereen aanraden om hier te verblijven. Enige dat je nodig hebt is een vervoermiddel omdat boodschappen en uitstapjes niet wandelend zijn te bereiken, mede door de bochten en stijgingspercentages van de wegen. Maar je kiest dit huisje voor de rust en de natuur en dat biedt het zeker. Ik heb al vaak huisjes gehuurd, maar zelden zo’n goede ervaring gehad met het verblijf. Ook de verhuurder is super in het snelle en prettige contact. En als klap op de vuurpijl (die je vanwege de droogte niet moet afsteken) is de heerlijke bedden. Geweldig goed geslapen, mede ook doordat de temperatuur in het huisje ondanks hoge temperaturen zeer aangenaam bleef. Aantal wateractiviteiten waren niet mogelijk door de droogte, maar daar kan het huisje niks aan doen. Er zijn naast allerlei actieve activiteiten geweldig leuke dingen te doen in de omgeving.

Sometimes you rent a cottage that’s exactly what you’re hoping for. There are other cottages in the area with guests, but you don’t notice them at all. It feels as if you’re all alone in nature. In the intense heat, both the cottage and the patio are great places to relax. Trees all around, the occasional squirrel, and a view of the hills a little further away. It’s wonderfully quiet at night.

Soms huur je een huisje dat helemaal is wat je hoopt. Er zijn andere huisjes in de buurt met huurders, maar daar merk je niks van. Het voelt alsof je helemaal alleen bent in de natuur. In de enorme hitte is zowel het huisje als het terras prima om te vertoeven. Bomen rondom, hier en daar een eekhoorn en uitzicht op de heuvels iets verder op. ‘s Nachts heerlijk stil.

Echt een prachtige omgeving. Het huisje heeft veel privacy en ligt op een rustige plek, met mooi uitzicht op waar de zon onder gaat.

The cottage is clean and everything is there. Because the bed is on the mezzanine it can get very hot there when the wood stove is on.

Het huisje is schoon en alles is aanwezig. Omdat het bed zich op de entresol bevindt kan het daar erg warm worden als de hout kachel aan staat.

The cottage is wonderfully private, no looking in from neighbors ed. Restaurants are within walking distance.

Het huisje is heerlijk privé, geen in kijk van buren ed. Restaurants zijn op loopafstand.
