Nature house in São Marcos da serra

Casa do Rafael is a house built from taipa (rammed clay) that is over 100 years old. The house still has some features from that time. It is located next to a small, very quiet and peaceful campsite with 25 places, but has complete privacy. At the campsite there is a saltwater swimming pool that can be used. In the house there is an information book with all kinds of tips for a nice vacation. The house is electrically heated.

The house is centrally located in the Algarve between the 2 chains of hills Serra de Monchique and Serra do Calderão. There are plenty of hiking possibilities, both in the hills and on the coast. Hiking maps can be picked up at the campsite. The coast is 35 km. The many bays and beaches are beautiful and especially in spring and autumn quiet. There are 4 restaurants within walking distance (2 - 4 km). Here you will meet the locals and enjoy the local regional dishes. The bus stops 2 km away, the train 15 km. The village of São Marcos da Serra is 3.5km. There are small homemade shops to do your shopping. And then of course finish with a cup of coffee and a pastel de nata in the local cafe among the locals.
