Nature house in Makkinga

This nature house is not rented out! But is the only cottage on 6.35 acres of private forest and nature grounds. The simple forester's house is located in beautiful and wooded southeastern Friesland on the border with Drenthe. This nature reserve is 63,500 square meters in size.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature Management and Fisheries has classified "Tronde" as an estate within the meaning of the 1928 Natural Beauty Act. The forest plot is about 900 m. long and 70 m. wide. The nature house is the only house on the plot. The house stands at the beginning of the forest, about 50 meters from the public (B) road. It is a closed forest, consisting mainly of Norway spruce and parts with robinia, oak and birch. There are also some open areas of natural land with natural ponds. Many bird species nest there, including the sparrow hawk, hawk and buzzard. There are also a badger sett and an owl lives under the carport. Tronde is a resting place for animals. Noise, hunting, mopeds, dirt bikes, fireworks and the like are not allowed. This keeps nature on Tronde and also allows future guests to enjoy the flora and fauna on Tronde. Recent sightings include: Badger, fox, cub, roe deer, hawk, tawny owl, hare and squirrel.
