Charming apartment in ancient barn! On the ground floor of a 16th-century farmhouse, with a separate entrance. The large apartment is perfect for families and groups of friends up to 6 people. Private garden with bbq and large open wood-burning fireplaces in the living room. Guests can enjoy the large fenced swimming pool and the garden all around the farmhouse, with many relaxation areas. - Two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and an alcove carved out of the old barn, with a four-poster French bed with curtains for privacy. Triple living room with two day beds, comfortable equipped kitchen and dining table for 6/8 people. Private garden with bbq, tables, umbrella, deck chairs.
Nature and surroundings
The farmhouse is within an ancient agricultural estate, in one of the most evocative valleys of Umbria, unspoiled and wild. It is located on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Franciscan path to Assisi, an hour's walk from the Hermitage of St. Peter, an unmissable stop for those wishing to retrace the steps of St. Francis and St. Clare. Hiking, biking and horseback riding and off-road excursions to explore the valley and Chiascio River. Deer and stags are easy to spot, living in the valley and often encountered near the waterways and along the trails. Strategically located for visiting all of Umbria, the Brocca is an ideal Base for visiting the cities of Gubbio (15 minutes away) Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Todi, Urbino, Città di Castello, and Arezzo. Less than an hour's drive to the Adriatic Sea, two hours to the Marmore Falls and the fabulous Conero coast.
