Our gîte is a recently converted stone wine house with a wooden extension. The house is completely detached and adjacent to our mini-campsite. The property is situated on the terraces of a former vineyard in the Tarn valley between the cities of Albi and Millau in the Aveyron department. The cottage is just a few minutes walk from the river Tarn with its paradisiacal beach where young and old have a great time. The house has a spacious living room and a separate spacious kitchen. There are two bedrooms, one double ( two single beds) and one triple (two single beds and a bunk bed). There is a bathroom with shower and sink and a separate toilet. The cottage is surrounded by terraces. There is a wooden terrace adjacent to the living room with a dining table and comfortable chairs. There are also two deck chairs.
Nature and surroundings
The gîte and campsite are located in the rougher part of the valley of the river Tarn. It is on the touristically quiet side of MIllau with, however, a beautiful nature with many hiking possibilities, but also with many beaches and canoe possibilities. In the vicinity are several picturesque villages, mostly with medieval castles. The surrounding reservoirs provide additional water sports fun. The city of Albi with its monumental cathedral and beautiful old town is very worthwhile. And not to forget of course the famous viaduct of Millau and the cozy town of Millau itself.
