Nature house in Pietrasanta , loc. Strettoia

Very nice and helpful landlady with personal contact. Very stylishly furnished rooms in a small, old winery. On the first floor is the kitchen with 3-burner gas stove, fridge-freezer, sink, large dining table, microwave, oven. The kitchen equipment is very extensive. On the upper floor there are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower and bidet which can be reached via a steep staircase. One room with double bed and seating area is a walk-through room, another has a double bed and a single bed and the third has 2 single beds. An iron is available, but no hairdryer. Access to the house from Strettoia is via a steep (30%), narrow asphalt road with a partly uneven surface. Then it is 300m on a narrow dirt road to the parking lot. From there, the luggage is taken up with a material lift. You walk uphill on foot along an unpaved forest path for about 50m. As we had very wet weather, there were a lot of mosquitoes.

Sehr stilvoll eingerichtete Zimmer in einem kleinen, alten Weingut. Im Erdgeschoss ist die Küche mit 3-flammigem Gasherd, Kühl-Gefrierschrank, Spüle, großem Esstisch, Mikrowelle, Backofen. Die Küchenausstattung ist sehr umfangreich. Im OG befinden sich 3 Schlafzimmer, ein Bad mit Dusche und Bidet die über eine steile Treppe erreichbar sind. Ein Zimmer mit Doppelbett und Sitzgruppe ist Durchgangszimmer, ein weiteres hat ein Doppelbett und ein Einzelbett und das dritte hat 2Einzelbetten. Ein Bügeleisen ist vorhanden, aber kein Haartrockner. Die Zufahrt zum Haus führt von Strettoia aus über eine steile (30%), schmale Asphaltstraße mit teilweise unebenem Belag. Dann geht es auf einem schmalen Feldweg 300m bis zum Parkplatz. Das Gepäck wird von dort aus mit einem Materiallift hochgefahren. Man selbst geht zu Fuß über einen unbefestigten Waldweg ca. 50m bergauf. Da wir sehr feuchtes Wetter hatten, gab es sehr viele Mücken.

Thank you Gemma, for letting us use your wonderful house for a week in July. We had a lovely time up in the hills, overlooking the city of Forte dei Marmi. We (family of 4 with two kids age 9 & 11) loved just sitting on the marvelous terrace under vines, reading a book, zipping on a glass of wine (not the kids, of course). You can have a swim in the Mediterranean sea, 10 min car drive, or enjoy buzzling cities like Pisa or Pietrasanta. The description is matching with what you get. Simple, but just wonderful. We loved it 3

Since I can't think of anything I would have missed (except my two cats), I am happy to give it a 10 rating. We were lucky with the weather; except for one evening a - refreshing admittedly - thunderstorm, we lived our entire stay outside. i did have the reflection: what if it had rained for a week, but that's not typical for the region, of course. But in that case you stay in a dark and rather small house. But with a great Gemma as hostess!

Vermits ik niets kan bedenken dat ik zou hebben gemist (behalve mijn twee poezen dan), geef ik graag een 10-score. Wij hadden wel geluk met het weer; behalve een avond een -verfrissend weliswaar - onweer hebben wij ons hele verblijf buiten geleefd. ik heb me wel de bedenking gemaakt: wat mocht het een week geregend hebben, maar dat is
nu niet typerend voor de streek natuurlijk. Maar in dat geval verblijf je in een donker en vrij klein
huisje. Maar wel met een geweldige Gemma als gastvrouw!

beautiful authentic mountain cottage with everything a person needs for a restful vacation - the cottage is tucked away in the mountains, yet everything is also close at driving distance: the sea, forests, beautiful places to explore, cities. even on hot days of 35 degrees it was pleasant to stay. My daughters and granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed a week of outdoor living.

prachtig authentiek berghuisje met alles wat een mens nodig heeft voor een rustgevende vakantie - het huisje ligt verscholen in de bergen, maar toch is alles ook op rijafstand dichtbij: de zee, bossen, prachtige plekken om te ontdekken, steden. zelfs op hete dagen van 35 graden was het aangenaam vertoeven. Mijn dochters en kleindochters hebben hard genoten van een week buiten leven.
