The old olive mill has existed since the middle of the 17th century, where the inhabitants of these Nature houses brought their olives of the exceptionally good quality "taggiasche" to be pressed, and was the retirement home of a Russian-Belgian couple for 20 years until it was purchased in 1977 by the German painter Klaus Bendixen, who set up his studio there. Today, the upper floor of the house is occupied by the current owner. The lower floor is available to guests who enjoy relaxing in the midst of nature. The house has been completely restored, preserving its original character as far as possible, and the lower floor is approximately 90 m² in size. Some of his paintings adorn the walls.
Nature and surroundings
This Nature house is located in the hinterland of Diano Marina, on the Riviera ligure di ponente, between Alassio and Sanremo, 5 minutes by car from the beach and the sea. There is a large public parking lot in the village. Leave your car near the ancient chapel of San Biagio, from where an old donkey path leads you to Casa Klaus after 150 meters on foot.access via the A10 freeway - Genova Ventimiglia, exit San Bartolomeo al mare, then after 10 to 15 minutes via Diano Marina you reach this Nature house.

Het is een mini-paradijsje in het achterland van het zeer toeristische Diana Marino.

Alles is aanwezig en er is genoeg ruimte voor 2 personen. De tuin is niet heel groot, maar dat is niet erg. De tuin grens direct aan een grote olijfbomengaard en in de verte zie je de zee. Helemaal top is de douche in de tuin!
Erg rustig in een kleine gehucht. Ondertussen is het niet ver van veel leuke en interessante plekjes.

Christina is very kind, helpful when you have questions and calls this place her 'little paradise'. And we agree. Beautiful. Well arranged and welcomed by Lino, who brought us and our luggage to the house in his Ape;). If you have trouble walking, need to think it over as the last part to the house is pretty steep. The view, the garden en the atmospere are well worth going.
Fabulous holiday home. It is very quiet, lots of room in and outside. The garden is exactly as presented on the photos. Very nice.
