Nature house in Waterville / Killagurteen

This family home, which has been in the family for two generations now, is in a unique location in County Kerry with beautiful views of Lake Lough Currane, the Atlantic Ocean, the valley and the mountains. In short; a place where all the elements of wonderful Ireland come together. The house is located on the Ring of Kerry which is part of the Wild Atlantic Way. Although the house is remote, in less than 10 minutes you are in the village of Waterville with supermarkets, restaurants, typical Irish pubs and a bus service to other towns. You are also 10 minutes from the beach and golf courses and less than 5 minutes from the lake Lough Currane known for its salmon and sea trout fly fishing. From the house you can walk the Kerry Way. The house is fully equipped, 3 bedrooms (1 double bed, 3 single beds and 1 folding bed), 2 bathrooms, (1 with bath) a modern dining / living kitchen and a lovely living room with wood stove and lake views.

Waterville is situated on the beautiful Ballinskelligs bay with beautiful sandy beaches. Across the bay is Ballinskelligs where Gaelic, the original Irish language, is still spoken. From there a breathtaking route runs through St. Finan,s Bay from where the Skellig Islands can be seen. If you continue driving you are, via a bridge, soon on Valentia Island; towards Caherdaniel you will find the most beautiful beach in Ireland, Derrynane Beach There is a sailing/surfing school, you can go horseback riding, make beautiful walks or find a nice quiet place to read a book and enjoy the sun. If you drive inland from the house you will come through the Ballaghisheen Pass to Killarney via a beautiful route along Ireland's highest mountains: the Macgillycuddy Reeks. If you drive back to the house via the southern route, you'll pass through the picturesque towns of Kenmare and Sneem. And if you don't feel like all that then you can stay at home in front of the fireplace with a good book.
