About this nature house
We are a family living in the west of Ireland on two acres of land that has been evolving into a forest garden over the past 25 years . The garden has now many medicinal herbs , fruit bushes and trees and perennial food crops with an emphasis on reestablishing native species and biodiversity. The cabin is a small well equipped tiny house , with bedroom kitchen and lounge , the toilet and shower are a few feet from the cabin in the covered outdoor space. A woodburning stove warms the cabin making it very cosy in cold weather.
Nature and surroundings
We are living in County Clare close to the Shannon and lough Dreg , with many small towns and villages. We are situated an hours drive to the west coast and the Atlantic ocean. The Burren national park is just 30 minutes from us . On our doorsteps we have some lovely walks that can be accessed without the need for a car, we also have bicycles that can be rented for a small fee. The remains of a once great oak forest is just a walk away . Our lake lough Graney is just down the road and a great place for swimming and walking . We have a well stocked village shop that has a good selection of vegan and vegetarian foods as well as more conventional produce .
