We offer you a wonderful stay in a spacious and cozy cottage in the outskirts of Kootwijk, next to the sand drifts and in the middle of the Veluwe. The cottage has a nice bright living room with large comfortable corner sofa, television with DVD player and an open kitchen (fridge with freezer compartment, stove with oven, incl. kitchen linen, on request a separate microwave is available). The bathroom has a spacious shower and washbasin (incl. hairdryer). There is a separate toilet. Sliding doors to private sheltered terrace with garden furniture. Via a fixed, steep staircase you reach two bedrooms with prepared beds: a comfortable double box spring (2 mattresses) and two lovely single beds. There is a separate bike shed for guests, free wifi and on-site parking. Electric car charging and use of fine bicycles for a fee. The cottage is not suitable for young children (0-8 yrs).
Nature and surroundings
Kootwijk is a perfect vacation spot for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts. You stay at the edge of the woods, 3 walking minutes from the Kootwijkerzand: the largest sand drift in Western Europe. A beautiful environment for cycling, hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. The exploration possibilities are endless! By road bike there are routes from 30 to 150 km, flat, undulating or with tough climbs. Want to score KOM bits and kudos on one of the many climbs and segments nearby? Training on the Veluwe route or the Posbank? Everything is possible! The area is also perfect for MTB tours for the novice and somewhat advanced MTB'er. The routes are not extremely heavy or technical. For the more experienced riders, the length of some routes still provides enough challenge. Whatever route you choose, you will always ride in beautiful nature! Feel free to ask us for tips. Maps of the area are available.
