A nature house in a quiet, rural setting. Enjoy sweeping views of Sneek and Bolsward from our terrace. It’s wonderfully cool under the pear tree on hot days. We look forward to welcoming you to our home, which features a private floor accessible via a sturdy staircase with a handrail. You are welcome to use our bathroom with a toilet. For more privacy, there is a chemical toilet on the floor, and a sink. We use the kitchen ourselves. That’s why we also offer a hot, three-course meal for €18.00 per person and a hearty breakfast for €8.00 per person. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy your meal on our terrace under the pear tree. Comfortable chairs are there for you to relax in. A TV and radio are available. In very hot weather, fans are provided. A camp bed is also available. Not suitable for bookings by companies seeking accommodations for workers.

Six km from the town of Sneek, where there’s also a train connection—for example, to Stavoren—and then by boat to Enkhuizen. Eight km from the town of Bolsward. Leeuwarden is 25 km away. There are many lakes nearby where you can go boating, swimming, water skiing, and fishing. In Sneek, there’s the Maritime Museum; in Franeker, the Planetarium (a World Heritage Site); in Workum, the Jopie Huisman Museum; and at Kornwerderzand near the Afsluitdijk, you can visit the Kazematten. For young children, the Sijbrandy amusement park near Oudemirdum is ideal, with an adjacent beach on the IJsselmeer. All are definitely worth a visit. Furthermore, each town has one of 11 fountains, each of which is a work of art. This tour can be explored by car, bicycle, on foot, by scooter, or by any other means of transportation. Every town has its own attractions. The village of Scharnegoutum has a supermarket and a bakery. It’s a two-kilometer drive away.
