Built of wood in 2012, the pavilion has its own terrace, sheltered and south-facing. The nature house is located behind the main house, a Betuws stool house farmhouse. With a ground floor bedroom with double bed and a sleeping loft accessible via an open staircase, it is suitable for couples and families. The very diverse standard orchard is a wonderful place to relax in warm weather and observe the many (as many as 50!) species of birds. According to the season, guests can pick apples, plums, pears and medlars and gather nuts. For children there is a lawn with a trampoline, children's pool, swings and a house with slide. The living room with loft is heated by a gas fireplace and includes a kitchenette. For warm evenings, there is a mobile air conditioner. The shower room with sink and toilet is on the ground floor and has underfloor heating. Hot water in kitchen and shower room comes from an electric boiler.
Nature and surroundings
The river landscape surrounding the pavilion is characterized by the cultivation of fruit, avenue trees, field and pasture farming. The estates of Hemmen, Oosterhout and Loenen with the adjacent Loenen outer polder offer pleasant walking opportunities. Near Slijk-Ewijk and Elst are recreational lakes with sunbathing areas. A bicycle tour along picturesque church villages such as Herveld-Zuid, Slijk-Ewijk, Valburg, Homoet, Randwijk and Indoornik can be extended via ferries to the natural areas of the Veluwezoom and the Grebbeberg or the Land of Maas and Waal, the Rijk van Nijmegen and the Ooijpolder. Here and there are interesting castles, good restaurants, one within walking distance, others with terraces along and overlooking the river, and amusement parks. For urban culture and entertainment such as museums, terrace visits, casino and shopping can be found in Nijmegen, Arnhem, Rhenen, Tiel and Wageningen.
