Nature house in Onnen - Glimmen

Escape to the country! You can, just 10km Z of Groningen city, on the northern part of National Park Drentsche Aa. The best of both worlds! The farmhouse with garden, terrace and private driveway, is entirely for your private use. Both bedrooms have comfortable beds of 1.80 x 2.10 (upstairs) and 1.80 x 2.00 (or two of 0.90 x 2.00, downstairs) and are equipped with fine bath and bed linen. The bathroom with double sink, shower, bathtub, has a separate toilet. In the spacious floor heated living/dining room with large windows you will enjoy an unobstructed view of the beautiful Onner Es. At a crackling fireplace at the large dining table to read or play games, smart TV and WiFi available. The kitchen has all appliances and crockery. Partly enclosed garden with sheltered terrace, garden furniture, cushions, parasol in the sun or shade. In the next/behind separate barn house we live with both our dogs and cats.

Unique is its location on a dead-end road near nature reserve Appèlbergen, with beautiful hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Located directly on the Pieterpad and Hondsrugpad. The farm was built early last century and surrounded by over 5 ha of open private nature reserve (entrance between #3 and #5). Since the beginning of this century this has been classified under the Nature Conservation Act and the trees, thickets, pools, hedges and girdles, are managed sustainably. The estate forms an ecological connecting zone between natural areas in the area and is located on a former peat bog, the Langakker moor. Flanked on the east side by the historic cart track, or 'medieval highway' the Hoge Hereweg in Glimmen, part of the Unesco Global Geopark the Hondsrug. At the end of the Dalweg you can only continue on foot via the Tranendal (shell path) over the Onner Es or through nature reserve Appèlbergen. The railroad is 250 mtr and airport Eelde about 4 km, so besides birds you can also spot airplanes.
